Great site! I'm an ostomy nurse in the US and many of my patients could use this
up beat perspective.

What a brilliant website - how I wish something was available like this when I
first had my stoma - you tell it all as it is from start to finish, great!
Thanks also for the english translation - I will pass this website on to others
who will benefit ... Rachel

An excellent site with good practical information. I can see a lot of thought
has gone into it's creation. Also a big thanks for translating it into English,
it is the best information I have come accross in the 5 years I've had my
Ileostomy.
It has also given me some good ideas of how to deal with my peristomal
hernia.
Thanks again......Nigel

Hi--Want to thank you for this site. It affords me
some encouragement, as I get very "down": not so
much with the colostomy as with the hernia that has
developed. I lose my appetite easily (am 110 lbs)
and don't want to go anywhere. Then I feel ashamed
because I'm more fortunate than many others.
The situation could be much worse, and I am grateful to
sites like this where there is emotional support, and some humor!, available.
Thank you again.

WOW! I have spent the last 3 hours going through your site and I am very
impressed. I now have a permanent ileostomy (after 4 operations) after my first
operation 5 years ago. I live in Florida and I walk everyday and then I swim ,
in an outdoor pool, everyday - year round. Your information is excellent and I
wish to thank you all of your contributors that has made this site what it is. I
am originally from Zeeland and if anyone wishes to communicate with me I would
be happy to respond. :-)

Hi
Just want to congratulate you on your site .....it's beautiful and young! I had
Ulcerative Colitis when I was 12 and after years of treatment eventually had an
ileostomy performed on Fri Sept 13 '68. and I wouldn't change it for the world.
Back then there wasn't anything like this website and NO disposable bags! I
think my attitude to life has helped me. I consider "13" my lucky
number!.
Keep up the good work and again congratulations.......Paddy
